New Betting Firm Opens Doors For Gamers Locked Out In Crackdown

A new betting platform, 22Bet has launched in Kenya with a promise to outdo betting giants who have been suspended from the Kenyan market.

The firm, 22Bet, recently expanded to the UK and becomes one of the few operational firms in Kenya, with mobile money deposit and withdrawal methods.

The company says that it will leverage on “providing the most transparent and customer-oriented services on the Kenyan market”, to make an entry into the lucrative sector.

22BET has made the betting process easier for Kenyan players by integrating mobile payment options, M-Pesa and Airtel Money. The options will include betting on both major football leagues and tournaments, as well as all Kenyan leagues.

22BET will also offer both live and digital options in online casinos including Blackjack, Roulette, Casino Hold’em and Baccarat.

Gamers will also be able to enjoy popular classic “Starburst” and Big Time Gaming’s rendition of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” alongside over 400 others.

Among its brand ambassodors include legendary Brazil player Ronaldinho, as well as Nuno Gomes and Kevin Kuranyi, former players of the Portuguese and German national team, respectively.

The sports betting industry in Kenya is estimated to be worth around Ksh2 billion at present, set to rise to Ksh5 billion by the end of 2020.
