Alibaba Founder Jack Ma Suspected Missing for 2 Months

Alibaba founder Jack Ma has been missing from the public eye for over two months, following his conflict with China’s ruling party Central Communist Party.

Jack Ma also failed to turn up for his talent show ‘Africa’s Business Heroes’, and his photos scraped from the website.

“Due to a schedule conflict Mr Ma could no longer be part of the finale judge panel of Africa’s Business Heroes earlier this year (2020),” an Alibaba spokesperson said.

While speaking in Shanghai in October 2020, Ma accused Xi Jinping’s government of “stifling business innovation” through ‘pawnshop’ of financial regulators and state-owned banks.

“Today’s financial system is the legacy of the Industrial Age. We must set up a new one for the next generation and young people. We must reform the current system,” he said.

In November, as a result, Chinese officials  suspended Ma’s blockbuster $37billion initial public offering of his Ant Group on the direct order of President Jinping according to the Wall Street Journal.
