Credit Bank Awards 30-Year Old Musicprenuer One Year Self Development Grant

David Ogutu of Dowe Music and Arts has beaten 17 entrepreneurs who enrolled for Credit Bank’s business competition, to scoop the best entrepreneurial setup with consideration on sustainability, scalability and social impact.

The entrepreneurs enrolled during the United Nations on drugs and crime conference that was held at the United Nations Headquarters in Gigiri Nairobi from the 5th to the 7th December 2018.

The conference saw hundreds of entrepreneurs from different parts of the country converge to dialogue and generate solutions on anti-corruption.

During the conference, Credit bank Plc pledged  their support at the conference as they sought to support and reward the top entrepreneur at the end of the three day conference.

“Credit bank is an SME bank that is passionate about SMEs and they have been supporting them through their Entrepreneurship Hub that was formed in 2015 to accommodate upcoming entrepreneurs through financing, mentorship and networking forums that influence the growth of these SMES,” stated the bank.

Pamela Mutembei during the awarding of the cheque said “We glad to be part of this great conference that seeks to support youth initiatives even as we pursue to curb drugs and crime amongst the youth. We believe in support of the youth of today, as they are critical in building the Kenya of tomorrow, we do this through mentorship programmes inculcated in our Entrepreneurs Hub”

The Credit Bank Entrepreneurship Hub has scaled its value proposition by bringing in various partners with a bid to enhance value to the members of the club. This will be announced early next year during a re-launch of the EHub.

“Many of us get opportunities however very few can see them. Thank you to Credit Bank for believing in me and my vision, I intend to sponsor one of the students to attend the classes through Dowe Music and Arts” said Ogutu.
