DP William Ruto’s Weston Hotel Set To Close Temporarily

Deputy President William Ruto’s Weston Hotel has announced plans for temporary closure as from Monday, March 30 following the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a notice, the hotel management did not specify for how long it would be closed.

“In view of the precautionary guidelines given in response to curbing the spread of the COVID-19 Corona virus, with your health and wellness being our utmost priority; we would like to inform you that we will be temporarily closed as from Monday 30th March 2020 until further notice,” the notice read in part.

Today, the country recorded the first death from Coronavirus.

The death is of a 66-year-old man who had arrived into the country from South Africa via Swaziland on March 13.

The man was also suffering from diabetes.

“The 66 years old Male Kenyan citizen who passed on this afternoon been admitted at the AghaKhan hospital intensive care Unit ICU. The man who was suffering from diabetes had arrived in the country March 13th ,2020 from South Africa vie Swaziland,” said Kagwe in a statement.

Earlier today, the country confirmed three more cases of coronavirus bringing the total number of positive Covid-19 cases to 31.
