Former Kenyan international Victor Wanyama is currently the highest-paid player at Club de Foot Montréal, after being named the substantive captain.
The midfielder takes home $200,000 (Ksh22,220,000) per month according to the salaries updated by the (Major Soccer League) MLS Players Association that was compiled as of Thursday 30 September.
This takes Wanyama’s annual salary to a whopping $2,400,000 (Ksh266,640,000) and his annual guaranteed compensation rises to $3,091,667 (Ksh343,484,000).
The average annual guaranteed compensation includes any marketing bonus and any agent’s fees but does not include Performance Bonuses.
The second-highest player at the club is Aljaž Struna who earns $91666(Ksh10,184,000) per month.
Kenyan midfielder Philip Mayaka who was recently called into the Harambee Stars squad for the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup qualifiers earns $6781 (Ksh753,000) per month at Colorado Rapids but was shipped out on loan to Colorado Springs at the start of the season.
Mayaka’s compatriot Nabi Kibunguchy who plays for Minnesota United but was sent on loan to Sacramento FC takes home $5295 (Ksh588,000) per month.
