Marion Gathoga-Mwangi Resigns As Managing Director Of BOC Kenya

Mrs Marion Gathoga-Mwangi has resigned as Managing Director of BOC Kenya Plc effective December 31 2021.

Mrs Mwangi is set to take up an executive role with another Linde company, Africa Oxygen Limited (AFROX) as Director, Healthcare Business.

“Mrs Gathoga-Mwangi was appointed Managing Director in 2018. Under her stewardship, the Board witnessed the introduction of a can-do culture to drive a sustainable turnaround strategy, change management that reflects customer needs, increased governance, and the establishment of a strong
Healthcare business,” said the company in a public notice on Wednesday, December 8.

During her tenure with the Company, Mrs Gathoga-Mwangi also successfully implemented Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and initiatives under the Sustainable Development Goals and developed strong links with Key Stakeholders and Industry Associations.

Mrs Gathoga-Mwangi will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Her replacement as Managing Director will be announced in due course upon appointment by the Board of BOC.

Meantime, the current Finance Director, Mr. Arthur Kamau will assume the position of Acting Managing Director of the Company.
