Judges For The Women In Business Awards 2019 Unveiled

Suzie Wokabi, Prof. Ella Dashanaba King and Elizabeth Kyengo have been named as part of the Judge panel on the Women in Business Awards 2019.

The Women in Business Awards that is set to happen on November 7, 2019 at Movenpick Hotel, in a bid to acknowledge the roles played by women in business in building the Kenyan economy through creation of job opportunities and increasing the national income in line with achievement of the governments Big Four Agenda.

Prof. Ella Dashanaba has spearheaded several companies in the U.S. and abroad ranging from sales and distribution, marketing, management consulting to founding the Academy of Continuing Education in Namibia.

Mary Muthoni Chairperson of Women in Business Kenya says that starting and growing a business can be both incredibly rewarding and daunting.

“Kenya currently has a difficult employment situation affecting not only the youth population, but the nation as a whole. It is no longer a problem for just the uneducated. Enculturing entrepreneurship is a great weapon to counteract unemployment, as entrepreneurs make massive contributions to the growth and development of our economy by opening doors to new ventures, new business and new alliances, but to mention a few,” says Ms Muthoni.

Elizabeth Kyego on the other hand has great expertise in business and sits on the Kenyan World vision Board where they are dedicated to working with children, families and communities worldwide to reach their full potential by addressing the causes of poverty and injustice of diverse cultures globally.

“In order to encourage more women to start businesses, motivate women in business to increase their investment in the sector, we need to to illuminate innovative best approaches in achieving the four pillars of the government,” Ms Muthoni added.
