Ahmed Farah Appointed As New KNCCI CEO
The Board of Directors of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has announced the appointment of Ahmed Farah as the Chief Executive Officer of KNCCI.
Farah brings an impressive track record of achievements and a wealth of experience that aligns seamlessly with KNCCI’s mission to foster economic growth, support businesses, and enhance Kenya’s global trade footprint.
Farah is the immediate former Country Director for TradeMark Africa (TMA) in Kenya, where he led high-impact programs advancing Kenya’s economic agenda and regional integration.
His expertise in creating strategic public-private partnerships has significantly boosted international investments to modernize Kenya’s infrastructure and trade systems.
“Known for his results-oriented approach, Mr. Farah’s vision aligns closely with KNCCI’s commitment to enhancing Kenya’s competitive edge in the global market,” KNCCI stated.
“With a deep-seated commitment to empowering SMEs and promoting inclusive trade, Mr Farah has pioneered initiatives under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework, particularly aimed at supporting women and youth entrepreneurs. His efforts in advancing sustainable trade and fostering an investment-friendly environment make him a valuable asset to KNCCI’s leadership team as it champions growth and resilience across Kenya’s economic landscape.”
He has also served on a presidential think tank focused on rebuilding Kenya’s economy post-COVID-19.
Farah holds an MA in International Development from the University of Manchester, UK, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Kenyatta University.
