Eveready Appoints Winnie Chepkemoi As New CEO

Eveready East Africa PLC has appointed Ms Winnie Chepkemoi as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

Winnie takes over from Mr Thomas Mong’are Masaki who has been the Acting Managing Director since March 10, 2021. Thomas has played an integral part in Eveready’s transformation and successfully led the implementation of the Company’s recovery strategy.

Winnie is a risk professional (financial & technology) with experience in the United States of America, East & West African markets with a focus on a range of industries in energy, fintech, financial services, TMT (technology, media, and telecommunication), and manufacturing.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Master of Science in Finance and Investments degree from the University of Nairobi and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
