How To Reverse KPLC Tokens Bought For The Wrong Account

Sometimes, while in a hurry or tiresome mode you might err and purchase Kenya Power (KPLC) prepaid tokens to a wrong account number. Some people count it as a loss after receiving the unit code message in their phones.

When such happens, there is still hope to regain your money, or tokens. First, it is important to contact KPLC through social media (Facebook or Twitter) to reach out to customer care.

You will be required to share the transaction details to them and also the correct meter number you intended to buy tokens for. Kenya Power customer care representatives will then forward the details to the revenue office responsible for reversals. You can also call their customer care directly from your phone for reversal.

You can also visit Kenya Power customer care offices or Huduma Centre for token refund. In such a scenario, you will be required to your national identity card, the correct meter number, and all the transaction details along with you and fill a refund form.

Once your details are forwarded to the revenue office, it will take approximately three working days to get a refund. Once the reversal is done, you will receive the units’ codes via SMS.
