Credit Bank Introduces Accident Cover At Ksh1000
According to a research done recently, over 70 % percent of Kenyans do not have the savings
culture and unlike other developed countries, children rely on the parents on financial independence
to an older age.
Credit bank through their bumble bee account is focused on significantly educating children and
parents on opportunities that parents can leverage to include the children in the saving culture.
Through this account the parent can access a personal accident insurance cover at only Ksh1,000
shillings per annum. This amount covers upto 4 members of a family at no extra cost.
Securing medical insurance covers for families has become a hard task for parent especially those in
blue collar jobs. It is with this understanding that the bank has rolled out this very affordable way of
securing insurance.

Speaking to Pamela Mutembei Head of Business and Marketing at Credit Bank,” The bank seeks to
provide affordable insurance opportunities amongst the children and guardians that not only
protects the children’s savings but also creates basic needs that most middle class have neglected.
This kind of initiative brought about by banks seeks to offer not only a one stop shop for its
customer’s but also peace of mind for the parents as the children indulge in various activities during
this holiday season. This is over and above the attractive interest rates they are offering in this
savings account of about 7% p.a amongst other value additions.
