Menengai Oil Refineries Donates 76,000 Bar Soaps To Red Cross, Nakuru County
Nakuru based Menengai Oil Refineries Limited (M.O.R.L) has donated a total of one thousand four hundred (1,600) cartons of Menengai Cream soap and Kibuyu Bar Soap to the Kenya Red Cross and Nakuru County government.
This initiative has been spearheaded by M.O.R.L’s Head of Marketing, Simpson Osiemo, Kenya Red Cross Deputy Secretary General, Annette Msabeni and Nakuru County Government’s Health County Officer Mr Samuel Kingóri
This is to help compliment the efforts by Kenya Red Cross to curb the spread if Covid-19 pandemic and specifically in low income areas as well as the vulnerable people across the country.
“Coronavirus (Covid)-19 is a global threat and should not be left to the national and county governments to handle it alone. We as MORL shall endeavor to engage in partnerships that make an impact in the lives of ordinary people in the society,” said Menengai in a statement.

It has been medically proven that one of the ways to prevent oneself from getting the coronavirus is by thoroughly washing hands with soap and water.
In total Menengai Oil Refinery Limited is donating 76,800 bars of soap to both Kenya Redcross and Nakuru County government to curb further spread of the Covid-19.
This includes:-
- 48,000 bars of Menengai Cream soap to Kenya Redcross
- 19,200 bars of Kibuyu bar soap to Kenya Redcross
- 9,600 bars of Menengai Cream soap to Nakuru County Government
