NSE Lifts Trading Halt on Absa Bank Kenya Shares
Trading in Absa Bank Kenya Plc shares has resumed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) after the exchange lifted a temporary halt on the bank’s ordinary shares.
The NSE said the halt was lifted at 10:41 am on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, allowing investors and other market participants to resume trading in the shares.
In a public notice, the NSE advised investors and market participants to take note of the resumption of trading.
The notice was issued by Boniface Mbogo, the NSE’s Manager for Branding, Marketing and Communications.
The exchange notice did not state the reason for the temporary halt or provide details on what prompted the suspension.
The resumption means Absa Bank Kenya shares are once again available for trading on the NSE as investors assess the bank’s performance and prospects.
