Former NSE CEO Geoffrey Odundo Lands Job With CPF Group

Former Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) CEO Geoffrey Odundo has been appointed Executive Advisor of the CPF Group.

“Mr Odundo, an esteemed leader in the African financial markets, will play a pivotal role in CPF’s strategic expansion into new markets across the Pan-African region,” CPF Group said.

“He brings a wealth of experience to CPF Group, having previously served as the Chief Executive of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), where he was instrumental in its development into the fifth-largest exchange in Africa.”

Under his leadership, NSE achieved its highest-ever market capitalization and introduced innovative trading platforms and financial instruments that diversified investment opportunities in Kenya.

Prior to his tenure at NSE, Mr Odundo was the Managing Director and CEO of Kingdom Securities Limited, Co-op Trust Investment Services, and Co-op Consultancy Services, all subsidiaries of the Co-operative Bank of Kenya Limited.

His career in the financial services sector spans over three decades, marked by significant contributions to the growth and sophistication of the financial landscape in Kenya and beyond.

During his illustrious career, Mr Odundo has been a key figure in various high-level boards and committees, including the Africa Stock Exchanges Association and the World Federation of Exchanges.

He has championed major initiatives such as the development of Kenya’s first commodity exchange and the NSE ESG disclosure and guidance manual, setting industry standards for sustainability and governance.
