West Kenya Sugar Company Donates Soap, Hand Washing Units To Siaya Residents
West Kenya Sugar Company Limited has donated liquid soap and hand washing units to Siaya residents through the office of Governor Cornel Rasanga.
Speaking at the function, West Kenya Sugar Company General Administrative Manager, Mr. Dennis Adika reaffirmed that the company is keen on helping the residents in this difficult time of the pandemic. The donations of these hand washing units and liquid soap shall come in handy for all the residents of Siaya county as they shall be stationed at high risk areas such as open markets, bodaboda sheds and town centers.
“West Kenya Sugar Company Limited has been at the forefront in the fight against the novel coronavirus – Covid-19 in their areas of operation, larger sugar belt area, with initiatives such as fumigating market areas to public awareness campaigns,” said Adika.

Governor Cornel Rasanga in his part lauded efforts by West Kenya Sugar Company in the fight against Covid-19.
“The company is doing a great job with their CSR efforts, this is clearly visible today as they provide these hand washing units and soap for our people to wash their hands frequently,” said Rasanga.
In total West Kenya Sugar Company donated two hundred liters of liquid soap and fifteen hand washing units with 100-liter capacity, to help in the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.
