NCBA has launched a new branch in Wote Town, Makueni County. The branch is located at Mbau Junction Mall and is one of the 10 branches the bank pledged to open this year as part of its expansion strategy to bring financial services to all areas of the country.

The branch opening was inaugurated by H.E. Hon. Lucy Mulili, the Deputy Governor of Makueni County, in an event attended by NCBA’s top leadership including Board Chairman James Ndegwa and Group Director Retail Banking, Tirus Mwithiga.

“At NCBA, we believe in fostering financial inclusion, supporting economic growth, and enhancing the prosperity of the communities we serve. Our commitment to these principles has driven us to expand our presence to Makueni County, a region filled with potential and promise. As such, we believe that the growth and prosperity of this great county go hand in hand with our success as a bank. Therefore, our decision as NCBA to open this branch demonstrates our dedication to supporting the needs of the people and businesses in this community,” said Tirus Mwithiga, NCBA Group Director, Retail Banking.

In a bid to address customer needs, the Branch will focus on providing a broad range of financial products and solutions including savings and current accounts, unsecured loans, Lipa na NCBA and asset finance solutions that can be approved within 15 seconds. The mobile and Internet banking services will also enable customers to access their accounts and get loans at their convenience.

The new branch will serve the customers of Wote town and its surrounding areas assisting the agribusiness activities including food processing, value addition, and agro-based industries. As well as other business sectors such as transport, education, and trade.

“Through our Sustainability Strategy, we announced an ambitious commitment to grow 10,000,000 trees by 2030. We are excited to be extending our place in Wote in a transformative way as we pilot our tree growing programme in the Eastern region, right next door in Kitui. In a couple of weeks, we will be back to plant 40,000 trees working directly with local farmers.” said NCBA Group Chairman, James Ndegwa.

“With the arrival of NCBA, we have gained a reliable financial partner that understands the unique needs and potential of our county. I am confident that NCBA’s presence here will play a significant role in supporting our vibrant businesses, empowering our residents, and contributing to the overall growth and development of Makueni County,” said Makueni Deputy Governor H.E. Hon Lucy Mulili.
