Embarrassing Moments As Video Conferencing App Zoom Experiences Porn Hacking

Several Video conferencing app Zoom users in US experienced an embarrassing moments after the app experienced porn hacks during sessions.

According to reports by AFP, the FBI is already investigating cases of conferences being disrupted by pornographic and/or hate images and threatening language.

Social media users have testified that while using the app, they suddenly saw pornographic or racist images on their screens while using the app.

Zoom users have been advised to make all meetings private and avoid screen sharing to combat would-be hackers.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are working around-the-clock to ensure that hospitals, universities, schools, and other businesses across the world can stay connected and operational,” a spokesperson told AFP.

So far, Zoom has recorded over 100 million downloads across the world.

Most companies in the world adopted the app for video conferencing, following the Covid-19 pandemic that has forced most of the companies to allows their staff to work from home.

Zoom Video Communications is an American remote conferencing services company headquartered in San Jose, California. It provides a remote conferencing service that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration.

Zoom was founded in 2011 by Eric Yuan, a lead engineer from Cisco Systems and its collaboration business unit WebEx. The service started in January 2013, and by May 2013 it claimed one million participants.
