Local superfood producer Kakuzi PLC showcased its marketing diversification plan at the Avocado Society of Kenya expo held at Gen. Matenjagwo Stadium in Kandara Constituency, Murang’a County.

The event saw avocado farmers from the county interact with various growers and share knowledge and information on avocado production, marketing and export.

Kakuzi’s participation in this year’s expo was been driven by the need to showcase its market diversification plan which is targeting the Kenyan market.

This move is aimed at supporting local farmers and providing Kenyan consumers with affordable and high-quality avocados. Kakuzi’s expansion into local markets is part of its commitment to improving the livelihoods of farmers and communities in the areas where it operates.

The agribusiness farm has been an active participant in the county farmers expos since 2017, providing expertise on avocado production and marketing to farmers and other stakeholders.

“We are delighted to attend the Murang’a County Avocado Farmers Expo once again. This event provides an excellent platform for us to interact with farmers and other stakeholders in the avocado industry and share our knowledge and expertise. We also see it as an opportunity to market ourselves as an exporter and learn from other stakeholders,” said Mr. Chris Flowers, Kakuzi’s Managing Director.
